All Lean Six Sigma programs provide a theoretical understanding of Lean and Six Sigma tools, practices and application and ensures the participants have the practical experience of applying the learned tools, concepts and practices of Lean and Six Sigma through Certification.

Online Pre-Work

All public Lean Six Sigma programs begin with online learning pre-work.

The online learning is delivered through the EZSigma Quality Campus elearning portal and ensures everyone has the same foundational knowledge when they arrive at the instructor-led training.

Live Instructor-Led Training

The group training is live and takes place virtually using the zoom platform.

This time is spent diving into the Lean and/or Six Sigma methodology and tools and a significant portion of the group training is spent on using the tools in a safe environment.

We believe by practicing in this safe environment participants will develop the confidence to use the tools effectively when they return to work.

Certification

All Lean and/or Six Sigma programs include Certification.

Once the training has been completed, participants are eligible to write the online Certification exam which is made available through the same elearning portal as the pre-work.

The final component for Certification is to complete an improvement project which demonstrates the correct usage of the tools, has a positive outcome and demonstrates that controls have been implemented to maintain the improvements.

Participants have 1 calendar year to complete and submit their project.

Lean Six Sigma Program Information

Looking for a specific course outline?

Begin by selecting the discipline - Lean, Six Sigma or both - and then select the belt level.

What is Lean?

Lean thinking is a continuous improvement discipline which analyzes the flow of product, materials, people, information and the systematic elimination of “waste”. By reducing the level of 'waste', the process becomes more efficient and effective.

The eight sources of waste are over-production, defects, inventory, over-processing, transportation, waiting, motion and underutilized people.

What is Six Sigma?

Within the Six Sigma philosophy, a defect is regarded as anything which causes internal or external customer dissatisfaction or prevents any part of the process from performing flawlessly. The higher the Sigma level of a process, the lower the number of defects it produces.

This is achieved by following the DMAIC methodology which is Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control.
